My friend Garron is forming a weekly sitcom writer’s group. Here’s the info:
I’m looking to start up a weekly sitcom writer’s group. Multi- and single-cam writers are cool, no dramedies though. I want a purely comedy-driven crew.
All are welcome to apply, but I’m looking for about 4-5 high caliber comedy writers who have received some acclaim and recognition in the past for their specs scripts and pilots through contests, writing programs, etc.
Basically, we’ll rotate projects each week (depending on who is ready to go) and simulate a writer’s room where we’ll pitch story lines, punch up jokes, and have an all-around good time doing it.
The meetings will be sometime during the weekend and will probably take place around Burbank/NoHo. Destination TBD.
If you’re funny, got a unique voice, and have something special to bring to the table, email me off board at email@example.com and tell me why you think you’d be a good fit for the team.
