‘Glee’ Extra Fired for Tweeting Spoiler

I’ve said it a millions times, and I’ll say it again: DO NOT TWEET OR FACEBOOK ABOUT YOUR WORK!!!

From THR: ‘Glee’ Extra Who Was Fired for Tweeting Spoiler Speaks Out

Nicole Crowther, the extra was recently fired over the Glee spoiler, is speaking out for the first time.

“I had no idea it would blow up like this, I do regret it,” she tells the Los Angeles Times.

Crowther upset everyone from fans of the Fox show to show co-creator Brad Falchuk when she Tweeted to her nearly 2,000 followers that she learned the identities of the show’s prom king and queen.

In her Times interview, Crowther stresses that she did not work on the episode in question and heard the information secondhand (which she also claimed in a statement released to the press).

She says she even Tweeted that she wasn’t even sure if the rumor was true.

That’s why she says she was “stunned” when Falchuk seemed to confirm her speculation by Tweeting to her: “Who are you to spoil something talented people have spent months to create?”

She says she went ahead and deleted her Tweet because, “I thought it would help.” But she says by deleting it she may have convinced people she was in the wrong. “I shouldn’t have deleted it,” she says.

Now, the film student – who has been blackballed from extra casting agencies she works with – says she is afraid the move will put her “career is in jeopardy — my career that hasn’t even started because of this lie. Nobody took the time to check the facts. But I do understand why [Falchuk] would be upset … the truth of the matter is that I wasn’t on set.”
