Formatting Multi-cam Scenes
When my husband and I began writing our multi-cam pilot together, I quickly realized I had no idea how to format it. While I had read literally hundreds of half-hour multi-cam scripts, I had never paid close attention to the formatting because I wrote one-hours. What was I supposed to capitalize? Underline? Wait, the scenes are lettered?
Yes, the scenes are lettered, but not every letter is used. Who knew? (Probably everyone but me.) Just in case there are any other writers out there who are unfamiliar with this little multi-cam formatting rule, the following letters are NOT used in multi-cam scripts:
